I’ve always been driven by a desire to help people feel at ease and supported stepping into new adventures or navigating important life decisions. My journey has been shaped by a lifetime of experiences, understanding what people need to feel comfortable, connected, and supported.
Growing up in El Paso, Texas, as the middle child of three, I learned early how to read a room, navigate strong personalities, and negotiate between my older and younger siblings. I believe that’s where my people skills and love of helping others took root. My father was a model of honesty and integrity; his commitment to doing the right thing shaped my values. My mother was equally influential, defying expectations for women of her time by learning computer programming and pursuing work she found meaningful all while being a great mother and wife. These lessons stayed with me through every chapter of my life.
I moved to Colorado after graduate school and felt an immediate connection to the area. One of my first jobs here was at Keystone Resort, managing all the non-skiing activity sales. There, I loved introducing visitors to new experiences and seeing their faces light up when they tried something out of their comfort zone. I enjoyed making people feel welcome—reading their personalities and finding what would be most fun for them. That was my first real experience of how fulfilling it is to connect people to something that will resonate with them, and that joy has followed me throughout my career.
After starting my family, I took on a role managing enrollment for Denver Public Schools. I loved the work, especially running the school choice program, which allowed families to select schools outside their neighborhoods. Parents would come in saying, “We want a good school for our kids,” and I’d ask, “What does ‘good’ look like to you?” I learned that each family’s idea of a “good fit” was unique, based on what was best for their child and their circumstances. This job taught me that listening carefully and understanding people’s priorities could make a profound difference in their lives. In those years, I was helping parents make big, sometimes life-changing decisions.
As my daughters, Micaela and Maya, grew up and started their own lives, I started to feel ready for a new challenge. A longtime friend in real estate suggested I give it a try. I was hesitant at first, but I knew how deeply I enjoyed helping people find the right “fit” in their lives. With encouragement from my husband, Bob, and inspired by my drive to continuously challenge myself, I took the leap.
When I moved into real estate, I quickly discovered that many of the skills I’d developed in education translated perfectly. Just as with school choice, helping clients find the right home means understanding that “good” looks different for everyone. I love guiding people through the process—helping them clarify what they want and then finding a place that truly feels right. Real estate, for me, is about more than just finding a house; it’s about finding a home that resonates with my clients on a personal level.
My deep knowledge of Denver’s neighborhoods and surrounding communities has been invaluable to my clients. By truly listening and understanding each person’s needs, I can help them make thoughtful choices and build a life in a community that suits them. I feel incredibly fortunate to do work that challenges me and allows me to be part of people’s lives in such a meaningful way.
Real estate is incredibly fulfilling because it constantly challenges me to adapt, learn, and grow, while also giving me the freedom and flexibility to enjoy life outside of work. Maya is focused on her career and Micaela has started a family with her husband Sam, giving me my first grandchild, Annie, with another on the way! Our Portuguese water dog, Ollie, keeps us all entertained! I’m currently training him to be a therapy dog as a way to give back.
There’s no greater satisfaction than witnessing that “aha” moment when clients walk into a space and realize, “This is it.” That moment, when they find the home that feels right for them, is just the beginning of what makes this work so fulfilling. From negotiations to organizing a smooth closing and moving process, I go above and beyond to make a meaningful impact. I love it when clients invite me back months later, eager to show me the updates they’ve made and the life they’re building in their new space. These special moments remind me of why I do what I do.
From beginning to end and even after the transaction is over, I enjoy keeping my clients informed throughout the process, breaking down each step to ensure there are no surprises. One of my greatest sources of pride is the many 5-star reviews I have received from past clients. They’ve relied on me throughout their buying or selling journeys and continue to refer their friends and family to me, knowing I’ll bring the same dedication, care, and attention to detail. Being a trusted advisor is a privilege, and I’m committed to providing a seamless, positive experience for each person I have the pleasure to serve.
